Tamb\u00e9m a fisiologia vegetal emprega t\u00e9cnicas de ambos os campos citados anteriormente.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"> Seu escopo e temas s\u00e3o t\u00e3o diversos quanto a diversidade da vida que existe no planeta. 420 aC &#8220;.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">O anatomista brit\u00e2nico\u00a0William Harvey descreveu a circula\u00e7\u00e3o sangu\u00ednea no s\u00e9culo XVII, iniciando a fisiologia experimental.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A fisiologia moderna nasceu no s\u00e9culo XVI e a primeira contribui\u00e7\u00e3o se deve a Miguel Servet (1511 &#8211; 1553) que estudou a circula\u00e7\u00e3o pulmonar. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">At\u00e9 esse momento, a ci\u00eancia fisiol\u00f3gica estava apoiada nas concep\u00e7\u00f5es puramente te\u00f3ricas do m\u00e9dico grego Galeno: admitia-se, por exemplo, uma comunica\u00e7\u00e3o entre os dois ventr\u00edculos do cora\u00e7\u00e3o por meio de canais invis\u00edveis.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; line-height: 1.5;\">Servet, juntamente com Ves\u00e1lio, insurgiu-se contra essa concep\u00e7\u00e3o, e demonstrou que n\u00e3o h\u00e1 mistura de sangue entre os dois ventr\u00edculos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.the-aps.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The American Physiological Society (APS)<\/a> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00e9 uma organiza\u00e7\u00e3o sem fins lucrativos dedicada \u00e0 educa\u00e7\u00e3o fomento, pesquisa cient\u00edfica e divulga\u00e7\u00e3o de informa\u00e7\u00f5es nas ci\u00eancias fisiol\u00f3gicas. A Sociedade foi fundada em 1887 com 28 membros.
