De acordo com Beatty, a gen\u00e9tica populacional define o n\u00facleo da s\u00edntese moderna. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Nas primeiras d\u00e9cadas do s\u00e9culo XX, a maioria dos naturalistas de campo continuou acreditando que os mecanismos lamarckianos e ortog\u00eanicos da evolu\u00e7\u00e3o forneceram a melhor explica\u00e7\u00e3o para a complexidade que observavam no mundo vivo. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">No entanto, \u00e0 medida que o campo da gen\u00e9tica continuou a se desenvolver, essas vis\u00f5es tornaram-se menos sustent\u00e1veis.
