A anatomia macrosc\u00f3pica \u00e9 o estudo de estruturas anat\u00f3micas suficientemente grandes para poderem ser observadas a olho nu e engloba a anatomia de superf\u00edcie. A anatomia microsc\u00f3pica \u00e9 o estudo das estruturas a uma escala microsc\u00f3pica e engloba a <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/biologo.com.br\/bio\/histologia\/\">histologia<\/a><\/span> (o estudo dos tecidos) e a embriologia (o estudo de um organismo ainda imaturo).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A hist\u00f3ria da anatomia caracteriza-se pela progressiva compreens\u00e3o das fun\u00e7\u00f5es dos \u00f3rg\u00e3os e estruturas do corpo humano. Nos \u00faltimos s\u00e9culos, os m\u00e9todos de observa\u00e7\u00e3o evolu\u00edram de forma significativa, desde a disseca\u00e7\u00e3o\u00a0de carca\u00e7as e cad\u00e1veres at\u00e9 \u00e0s t\u00e9cnicas modernas de imagiologia m\u00e9dica, entre as quais radiografia, ecografia e resson\u00e2ncia magn\u00e9tica.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">O termo anatomia \u00e9 geralmente usado como sin\u00f4nimo de anatomia humana. No entanto, as mesmas estruturas e tecidos podem ser observadas em praticamente todo o reino animal, pelo que o termo tamb\u00e9m se refere \u00e0 anatomia dos outros animais, sendo neste caso por vezes usado o termo zootomia. Todos os animais vertebrados apresentam um plano corporal muito semelhante e em determinado momento na vida, geralmente durante o per\u00edodo embrion\u00e1rio, apresentam as principais caracter\u00edsticas dos cordados: uma corda dorsal, um tubo neural, arcos far\u00edngeos e uma cauda posterior ao \u00e2nus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A coluna vertebral \u00e9 formada pelo desenvolvimento do conjunto de v\u00e9rtebras segmentadas. Na maior parte dos vertebrados a corda dorsal embrion\u00e1ria transforma-se no n\u00facleo pulposo dos discos intervertebrais. No entanto, alguns vertebrados mant\u00eam a corda dorsal em adultos, como \u00e9 o caso do esturj\u00e3o.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Os vertebrados com mand\u00edbulas apresentam pares de ap\u00eandices, barbatanas ou pernas que podem ser vestigiais. O tecido nervoso dos vertebrados tem origem na ectoderme, o tecido conjuntivo na mesoderme e o tubo digestivo na endoderme. Na extremidade posterior encontra-se uma cauda que prolonga a medula espinal e as v\u00e9rtebras, mas n\u00e3o o tubo digestivo. S\u00e3o um grupo vasto e diversificado de seres vivos que corresponde a cerca de 95% de todas as esp\u00e9cies animais, desde eucariontes simples e unicelulares, como o Paramecium, at\u00e9 animais complexos e multicelulares como o polvo, a lagosta ou as lib\u00e9lulas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A superf\u00edcie exterior da epiderme dos invertebrados \u00e9 geralmente formada por c\u00e9lulas epiteliais e segrega a matriz extracelular que suporta o organismo. Os equinodermes, esponjas, e cefal\u00f3podes possuem um endosqueleto derivado da mesoderme. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Os artr\u00f3podes (insetos, aracn\u00eddeos, carrapatos, camar\u00f5es, caranguejos e lagostas) possuem exosqueletos derivados da epiderme e constitu\u00eddos por quitina. Nos moluscos, braqui\u00f3podes e alguns poliquetas as carapa\u00e7as s\u00e3o constitu\u00eddas por carbonato de c\u00e1lcio.
