color: #000000;\">Recupera\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00c1reas Degradadas<\/span><\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">O grupo, batizado de <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/view\/2ndfor\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2ndFOR<\/a>, relata em seu mais recente estudo que a din\u00e2mica de mudan\u00e7as progressivas, ao longo do tempo, na composi\u00e7\u00e3o das esp\u00e9cies de \u00e1rvores, processo denominado sucess\u00e3o florestal, ocorre de maneira diferente em fun\u00e7\u00e3o do n\u00edvel de umidade predominante nas \u00e1reas desflorestadas.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/biologo.com.br\/bio\/o-custo-do-desmatamento\/\">O custo do desmatamento<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/biologo.com.br\/bio\/importancia-das-arvores-nas-cidades\/\">Import\u00e2ncia das \u00e1rvores nas cidades<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Em um artigo publicado em 22 de abril na revista cient\u00edfica Nature Ecology &amp; Evolution, os cientistas mostram que, nas florestas tropicais mais \u00famidas, as primeiras esp\u00e9cies a ressurgir em \u00e1reas desmatadas s\u00e3o as de madeira mais leve e mole, que crescem mais rapidamente e apresentam menor valor comercial.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Num segundo momento, recuperam-se as de madeira mais densa e dura, que demoram mais para se desenvolver e alcan\u00e7am pre\u00e7os mais elevados. Esse comportamento era esperado, pois est\u00e1 de acordo com a vis\u00e3o tradicional sobre o processo natural de regenera\u00e7\u00e3o florestal em \u00e1reas degradadas. Nesse caso, observaram que a regenera\u00e7\u00e3o inicial inclui igualmente \u00e1rvores de madeira mais densa como mole. No longo prazo, ap\u00f3s algumas d\u00e9cadas de regenera\u00e7\u00e3o, tanto as florestas de \u00e1reas secas como as \u00famidas tendem a apresentar esp\u00e9cies arb\u00f3reas dos dois tipos.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">As conclus\u00f5es do trabalho da rede 2ndFOR se baseiam em um corpo de dados robusto o suficiente para permitir compara\u00e7\u00f5es entre florestas t\u00e3o diferentes quanto a Mata Atl\u00e2ntica paulista, em um clima relativamente \u00famido, e o Pet\u00e9n mexicano, em uma zona \u00e1rida. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">O grupo usou dados de mais de 1.400 fragmentos de floresta analisados em 50 dos seus 58 s\u00edtios de pesquisa.
