com apetite para comer at\u00e9 100% do seu peso corporal em folhas, por dia, dependendo da esp\u00e9cie -, podem ser controlados por uma esp\u00e9cie de fungo da cole\u00e7\u00e3o microbiana da Embrapa Recursos Gen\u00e9ticos e Biotecnologia (Bras\u00edlia-DF).<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/biologo.com.br\/bio\/documentario-borboletas\/\">Document\u00e1rio Borboletas<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Considerados fundamentais \u00e0 pesquisa agropecu\u00e1ria, especialmente quando os cientistas buscam uma agricultura sustent\u00e1vel, os microrganismos como o fungo <em>Metarhizium acridum<\/em>, que combate in\u00fameras esp\u00e9cies de gafanhotos, comp\u00f5em a cole\u00e7\u00e3o microbiana da Unidade.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> Ele est\u00e1 catalogado no Alelo Micro, parte do Portal Alelo, p\u00e1gina localizada no portal da Unidade na internet, com informa\u00e7\u00f5es de recursos gen\u00e9ticos animal, microbiano e vegetal. L\u00e1, cientistas e estudantes v\u00e3o localizar com rapidez dados como g\u00eanero e esp\u00e9cie de microrganismos. Das 28 cole\u00e7\u00f5es, 22 est\u00e3o dispon\u00edveis para o p\u00fablico, sendo as demais apenas a curadores de organiza\u00e7\u00f5es de pesquisa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Para se ter uma ideia da import\u00e2ncia dos microrganismos \u00e0 agropecu\u00e1ria, em especial para o controle biol\u00f3gico e as diferentes possibilidades para produ\u00e7\u00e3o em biof\u00e1bricas, o pesquisador Marcos Faria, especialista em fungos que atua no Laborat\u00f3rio de <a href=\"https:\/\/biologo.com.br\/bio\/micologia-a-ciencia-dos-fungos\/\">Micologia<\/a> de Invertebrados desse centro de pesquisa da Embrapa, relata que <strong>o grau de letalidade do <em>Metarhizium acridum<\/em> para os gafanhotos chega a 80%<\/strong>. Depois, as lavouras s\u00e3o pulverizadas com o l\u00edquido, especialmente nos nascedouros dos gafanhotos, atingindo as ninfas. \u201cHoje essa \u00e9 uma pr\u00e1tica bastante usada na \u00c1frica e Austr\u00e1lia\u201d, comenta Faria. Desde ent\u00e3o os ataques por esses insetos em territ\u00f3rio brasileiro t\u00eam sido espor\u00e1dicos, embora em \u00e1reas de fruticultura e floricultura da regi\u00e3o Nordeste tenha ocorrido mais frequentemente\u201d, observa Marcos Faria.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Segundo o pesquisador, embora o controle de nuvens de gafanhotos adultos com elevada capacidade de deslocamento &#8211; como o recentemente ocorrido na Argentina com a esp\u00e9cie <em>Schistocerca cancellata<\/em> &#8211; seja desafiador aos cientistas, \u00e9 importante destacar que o risco de ocorrer a entrada dessa praga no Brasil exp\u00f5e a necessidade de uma maior intera\u00e7\u00e3o entre os pa\u00edses envolvidos, com a\u00e7\u00f5es coordenadas, visando o controle biol\u00f3gico das ninfas nos nascedouros. Isso porque as institui\u00e7\u00f5es de pesquisa da Argentina, Bol\u00edvia e Paraguai conhecem os h\u00e1bitos dessa esp\u00e9cie e a troca de informa\u00e7\u00f5es proporcionaria mais agilidade no combate.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: 'courier new', courier, monospace; font-size: 12pt;\">Bact\u00e9rias para bioinseticidas<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">O exemplo da efic\u00e1cia do fungo <em>Metarhizium acridum<\/em> \u00e9 apenas um dos benef\u00edcios dos microrganismos para uso no controle biol\u00f3gico. Conforme a pesquisadora Rose Monnerat, do coordenadora do Laborat\u00f3rio de Bact\u00e9rias Entomopatog\u00eanicas, dados de 2018 apontam que esses produtos foram usados 11 milh\u00f5es de hectares no pa\u00eds, havendo um crescimento na ado\u00e7\u00e3o deles de pelo menos 20% ao ano.
