Ele mesmo descreveu essa transi\u00e7\u00e3o como &#8220;quase como se algu\u00e9m tivesse que nascer de novo&#8221;. Crick intuiu que essa atitude o encorajou a ser mais ousado do que os bi\u00f3logos t\u00edpicos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Durante a cerca de dois anos, Crick trabalhou nas propriedades f\u00edsicas do citoplasma, mas logo percebeu que estava focando na dire\u00e7\u00e3o errada. Pistas indicavam que seria o DNA a mol\u00e9cula respons\u00e1vel pela transmiss\u00e3o das caracter\u00edsticas heredit\u00e1rias que lhe interessavam. Apoiados ent\u00e3o pelo trabalho de Wilkins e <a href=\"https:\/\/biologo.com.br\/bio\/rosalind-franklin\/\">Rosalind Franklin<\/a>, propuseram a estrutura da famosa mol\u00e9cula de dupla h\u00e9lice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">O trabalho foi publicado em abril de 1953 na revista &#8220;Nature&#8221;. Inicialmente ignorado, foi ganhando aos poucos o devido\u00a0 reconhecimento da comunidade cient\u00edfica. O estudo rendeu o Nobel de Fisiologia ou Medicina de 1962, dividido com James Watson e Maurice Wilkins.
